Brandon Craft is an emerging leader within the forestry technology space. He holds a Masters of Natural Resources from Auburn University and is an experienced operations and management forester (SAF Certified). He has a background working at the implementation level of both investment-grade timberlands and conservation-oriented properties. Prior to Treeswift, Brandon worked at NCX, Forest Resource Consultants, B.K. Craft Forestry, and the Jones Center at Ichauway. Brandon has almost twenty years of experience in forest measurements. Having started off collecting high precision data for ecology research and then moving to high productivity, commercial cruising, he has seen every corner of the forest measurements industry. Brandon has directed ongoing campaign cruises on numerous large client properties on the scale of hundreds of thousands of acres per quarter. On the client side, he has had budget authority over a seven-figure annual cruise budget. In addition to forest inventory, Brandon has experience in strategic thinking within forestry. He has been a key player for the development of several strategic business plans with a particular emphasis on digital transformation and forest technology adoption. He has wide-ranging generalist forestry knowledge combined with subject matter expertise on Silviculture, Large Timberland Transactions, GIS, and Forest Economics. He is Chair of the national SAF A-2 Forest Technology Working Group, Co-Chair of the ESRI Forest User Group, and has been has been Chair of his local SAF chapter and a Project Learning Tree Green Mentor.
